Here is another must-try pizza joint in York! Dough Eyed is located in the Micklegate Social and serves ‘Neo-Neapolitan style pizza’. Currently, they deliver or are available for collection, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 17:00 to 22:00. You can order here, or they have a great app called ‘Dough Eyed’ by Hungrrr Apps. Dough Eyed also caters events and has this marvelous 1974 vintage Peugeot J7 van which they serve out of. During the lockdown, they were part of the amazing Supper Club Collective in York which provided free nutritious meals to heat at home for the isolated, vulnerable, NHS, and the homeless. I ordered a collection from here and chose the ‘Salame Napoli and Hot Honey’ pizza as well as the ‘Portobello and Truffle Oil’ pizza and was able to share this between 3 people easily. Coming in at only £18 it was a seriously good deal and not to mention delicious. I can’t wait to go to the Micklegate Social post-lockdown and have some of this great pizza alongside a great beer as well. Check out their Instagram for some serious pizza-inspiration.
