If you know me, you know I love Gucci! When I found myself, unexpectedly, at Heathrow Airport in London a few weeks ago I had to look through all of the luxury stores, what’s not to love about VAT exempt shopping! I always like to be two hours early at airports to get a bite to eat and have a look around, airpots are a great place to people watch. So, I decided to have a look around the Gucci store before having brunch at the Oriel restaurant (this is all in Terminal 3 of Heathrow Airport), I go to this restaurant for Brunch I think every time I fly out of Heathrow, they have great and affordable brunch and smoothies which always makes me feel refreshed and full before a long flight. I then looked around Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Hermès before going back to Gucci, I think for the third time. I first tried on the Women’s Gucci Tennis 1977 sneaker but they looked too much like bowling shoes on my feet, I then tried the Women’s Ace GG Flora sneaker which I’ve been eyeing over the past year. What I really like about these shoes too is that due to the printing technique that they’ve used, all of the shoes have different pieces of the print meaning that no two pairs match which I think is awesome. If you can’t tell from the title of this post, I ended up buying this pair, this is the second pair of Gucci Ace trainers and I absolutely love them, if you want to buy these shoes online I definitely recommend sizing one size down as they do run large. This pair was part of the winter collection so comes in a super snazzy, holographic box and the shoes themselves come in these beautiful forest green, silky dust bags. I finally wore these shoes for the first time yesterday on a trip to meet a friend at Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen in Chapel Hill, a classic institution of the town that has no dine in section so is only a drive-thru or walk-up, so makes it still viable during the lockdown!
